Salt Lake City shoppers don't have to settle for local overstock prices. Francis Retail liquidates overstock overstock sofas and overstock beds by the truckload and ships it from Los Angeles to Salt Lake City, UT at predictable flat-rate freight — same pieces the big-box stores sell, delivered to your door after LTL transit (the current estimate is shown with the rate).
Utah tax handling on overstock orders: unless we've crossed a nexus threshold in UT, Francis Retail doesn't collect state sales tax at checkout — Utah use tax may apply per state law. The practical upshot: a piece of overstock that lists locally in Salt Lake City with tax baked in often costs materially less when you order from us and pay flat-rate freight, even after freight is added. We do the math on the landed-cost table below so you can see exactly what a specific SKU costs delivered to your UT door.

How overstock freight delivery works
Curbside + liftgate
Standard freight is curbside with liftgate: the driver lowers the pallet to your driveway or curb. Moving it inside is up to you unless you add inside delivery.
Two-man inside delivery (white-glove)
A 2-person crew brings your items inside your home, to the room of your choice — not just the curb. One flat $300 per order. Assembly isn't included.
Overstock shipping to Salt Lake City — FAQ
Can I save by bundling multiple overstock pieces in one Salt Lake City shipment?
Often yes. Because the Salt Lake City lane rate is flat per pallet, adding more overstock items to the same pallet is effectively free — your per-item shipping cost drops sharply. If you're furnishing a room or the whole home in Salt Lake City, it's usually cheaper to batch orders than to ship one piece at a time.
Does Francis Retail ship overstock to Salt Lake City, UT?
Yes. Salt Lake City is on our Warp freight lane. We ship overstock sofas, overstock beds, and overstock patio sets from our Santa Fe Springs, California warehouse to the Salt Lake City metro at flat-rate freight. The lane covers Salt Lake City proper and nearby areas including West Valley City, West Jordan, Sandy.
How long does it take to ship overstock from Los Angeles to Salt Lake City?
Warp's current transit estimate for the 700 miles Salt Lake City lane is 4 business days after pickup from our warehouse, plus 1-2 days handling to prep the pallet. The carrier calls you 24-48 hours before the delivery window so you can pick a 4-hour slot.
Is shipping overstock from LA to Salt Lake City really cheaper than buying locally?
On most SKUs, yes. Our overstock is priced 40-80% below retail because it's liquidation inventory, not fresh retail stock. Even after adding flat-rate freight on the 700 miles Salt Lake City lane, the landed cost usually beats what the same piece sells for at Salt Lake City retail (where 1.3M residents pay full markup). The landed-cost table on this page shows the exact math.
Do you ship overstock to commercial addresses in Salt Lake City?
Yes — businesses, offices, and rental properties in Salt Lake City can receive overstock freight. Commercial addresses with a loading dock may waive the residential surcharge and speed up transit. Note the commercial address at checkout or in the order notes so the carrier routes appropriately.
Do I need to be home for a overstock delivery in Salt Lake City?
Yes — residential overstock freight to Salt Lake City requires someone 18+ present at the delivery address to sign the Bill of Lading. The carrier will call to schedule a 4-hour window so you're not waiting all day. If no one's home during the confirmed window, the carrier's actual reattempt and storage charges apply before redelivery.
