Open Box Shipping to Lafayette, LA
Freight for open box from our Santa Fe Springs warehouse to Lafayette is quoted on request — call, text or email for a delivered price.
Freight quote on request
We don't have an instant freight rate we can sell to Lafayette right now, so a person prices it for your ZIP and items. Call, text or email and we'll come back with a delivered price. Already have items in your cart? Checkout's “Request a freight quote” form sends us the exact items and address.
If you're shopping for open box in Lafayette, Louisiana, Francis Retail runs a flat-rate freight lane from our Santa Fe Springs warehouse to the Lafayette metro. We stock open-box sofas, open-box beds, and open-box appliances from Costco, Amazon, and Signature Hardware at 40-80% off retail — and ship them 1,730 miles to your LA address by Warp LTL freight, with no markup added to the freight price.
Louisiana tax handling on open box orders: unless we've crossed a nexus threshold in LA, Francis Retail doesn't collect state sales tax at checkout — Louisiana use tax may apply per state law. The practical upshot: a piece of open box that lists locally in Lafayette with tax baked in often costs materially less when you order from us and pay flat-rate freight, even after freight is added. We do the math on the landed-cost table below so you can see exactly what a specific SKU costs delivered to your LA door.
For open box bound for Lafayette, LA, expect a scheduling call from the freight carrier 1-2 business days before delivery so you can pick a 4-hour window. Curbside is the default. Add two-man inside delivery (white-glove, flat $300) at checkout if the item is heavy, bulky, or going upstairs.

How open box freight delivery works
Curbside + liftgate
Standard freight is curbside with liftgate: the driver lowers the pallet to your driveway or curb. Moving it inside is up to you unless you add inside delivery.
Two-man inside delivery (white-glove)
A 2-person crew brings your items inside your home, to the room of your choice — not just the curb. One flat $300 per order. Assembly isn't included.
Open Box shipping to Lafayette — FAQ
What's included in the open box freight rate to Lafayette?
Pickup from our 1,730 miles-away Santa Fe Springs warehouse, LTL freight transit on Warp's Lafayette lane, curbside delivery with liftgate, and carrier scheduling. The one optional add-on — two-man inside delivery (white-glove) for a flat $300 — is a visible line item at checkout, not hidden inside the base rate.
Do you charge Louisiana sales tax on open box orders shipped to Lafayette?
We do not currently collect Louisiana sales tax on open box orders shipped to Lafayette. Louisiana use tax may apply under state law — check with a LA tax professional if you have questions about your obligations as a buyer. Stripe Tax recalculates at final checkout if our nexus status has changed.
What should Lafayette buyers know before ordering open box freight?
Three things: (1) measure your doorways, stairs, and access route — open box ships palletized, not flat-packed, and confirming fit and access is the buyer's responsibility; (2) be home for the delivery window (4 hours, scheduled 24-48 hours out); and (3) inspect every piece before signing the BOL, write any damage on it, photograph everything, and keep the packaging. That last one is the single biggest difference between a smooth Lafayette delivery and a slow damage claim.
What if my open box item is too large for flat-rate freight to Lafayette?
Oversized open box — longer than 85 inches in any dimension, heavier than 850 lb, or multi-pallet — gets a custom Warp quote instead of the flat rate. The product page flags this and the checkout flow shows the actual rate for your specific Lafayette zip before you pay — oversized pieces are priced before payment, not surprise-billed later.
What does inside (white-glove) delivery cost on Lafayette open box shipments?
Checkout offers one delivery add-on: two-man inside delivery (white-glove) for a flat $300. A 2-person crew brings your open box inside your LA home to the room of your choice instead of leaving it at the curb. It doesn't include assembly. Without it, freight to Lafayette is curbside with liftgate.
Can I pick up open box at a Lafayette freight terminal instead of having it delivered?
On several Lafayette lanes, the carrier supports terminal pickup, which saves the residential delivery surcharge. Email [email protected] or call (562) 568-8883 before placing the order and we'll confirm whether your specific open box item supports Lafayette-terminal pickup and what the savings would be.
