Washington shoppers don't have to settle for local open box prices. Francis Retail liquidates overstock open-box sofas and open-box beds by the truckload and ships it from Los Angeles to Washington, DC at predictable flat-rate freight — same pieces the big-box stores sell, delivered to your door after LTL transit (the current estimate is shown with the rate).
The physical reality of shipping open box is where freight quotes get complicated: weight, dimensions, and distance all move the price. Our lane to Washington is flat rate under Warp's 850-lb, 50×50×85-inch pallet ceiling, which covers the vast majority of open-box sofas and open-box beds we sell. Anything that busts the ceiling gets a custom freight quote at checkout — you'll never see a "starting at" price turn into something else after you've already decided to buy.
Curbside delivery with liftgate is included on every open box order to Washington. Driver calls 24-48 hours ahead to book a 4-hour window. Two-man inside delivery (white-glove) to the room of your choice is a flat $300 checkout add-on.

How open box freight delivery works
Curbside + liftgate
Standard freight is curbside with liftgate: the driver lowers the pallet to your driveway or curb. Moving it inside is up to you unless you add inside delivery.
Two-man inside delivery (white-glove)
A 2-person crew brings your items inside your home, to the room of your choice — not just the curb. One flat $300 per order. Assembly isn't included.
Open Box shipping to Washington — FAQ
How far in advance should I order open box for Washington delivery?
Plan on about 2 weeks from order placement to a scheduled delivery window at your Washington address: 1-2 business days of warehouse handling, 2,670 miles of LTL freight transit (5 business days), plus a carrier-scheduled appointment window. If you need open box by a specific date, call us before ordering.
What should Washington buyers know before ordering open box freight?
Three things: (1) measure your doorways, stairs, and access route — open box ships palletized, not flat-packed, and confirming fit and access is the buyer's responsibility; (2) be home for the delivery window (4 hours, scheduled 24-48 hours out); and (3) inspect every piece before signing the BOL, write any damage on it, photograph everything, and keep the packaging. That last one is the single biggest difference between a smooth Washington delivery and a slow damage claim.
What brands of open box ship to Washington?
Our open box inventory is sourced from Costco, Amazon, and Signature Hardware overstock plus truckload liquidations from other major retailers. For Washington orders specifically, you'll see the same brand-name open-box sofas, open-box beds, and open-box appliances that retail stores carry — at 40-80% off their retail prices — because our sourcing isn't tied to a local DC distribution network.
How do I track a open box freight shipment headed to Washington?
Once the pallet leaves our Santa Fe Springs dock, Warp emails a tracking link with PRO number and status updates. You'll see it move from our LA origin to the Washington delivery terminal. The carrier will also call 24-48 hours before the delivery window to confirm your DC address and scheduling.
Can I pick up open box at a Washington freight terminal instead of having it delivered?
On several Washington lanes, the carrier supports terminal pickup, which saves the residential delivery surcharge. Email [email protected] or call (562) 568-8883 before placing the order and we'll confirm whether your specific open box item supports Washington-terminal pickup and what the savings would be.
Do you deliver open box to cities near Washington like Arlington and Alexandria?
Yes — our Washington freight lane covers the broader metro, including Arlington, Alexandria, Bethesda, Silver Spring. The flat-rate pricing on this page applies across the catchment area. Enter your actual DC delivery zip at checkout and the system will confirm lane eligibility and final rate for your open box order.
