Why does open box cost so much in Columbus? Because local retail in a metro of 2.2M people (median household income near $58K) can charge what it charges. Francis Retail sells liquidation inventory from our own warehouse and ships it to your OH address on a flat-rate freight lane built for open-box sofas and open-box beds.
The physical reality of shipping open box is where freight quotes get complicated: weight, dimensions, and distance all move the price. Our lane to Columbus is flat rate under Warp's 850-lb, 50×50×85-inch pallet ceiling, which covers the vast majority of open-box sofas and open-box beds we sell. Anything that busts the ceiling gets a custom freight quote at checkout — you'll never see a "starting at" price turn into something else after you've already decided to buy.
For open box bound for Columbus, OH, expect a scheduling call from the freight carrier 1-2 business days before delivery so you can pick a 4-hour window. Curbside is the default. Add two-man inside delivery (white-glove, flat $300) at checkout if the item is heavy, bulky, or going upstairs.

How open box freight delivery works
Curbside + liftgate
Standard freight is curbside with liftgate: the driver lowers the pallet to your driveway or curb. Moving it inside is up to you unless you add inside delivery.
Two-man inside delivery (white-glove)
A 2-person crew brings your items inside your home, to the room of your choice — not just the curb. One flat $300 per order. Assembly isn't included.
Open Box shipping to Columbus — FAQ
What does inside (white-glove) delivery cost on Columbus open box shipments?
Checkout offers one delivery add-on: two-man inside delivery (white-glove) for a flat $300. A 2-person crew brings your open box inside your OH home to the room of your choice instead of leaving it at the curb. It doesn't include assembly. Without it, freight to Columbus is curbside with liftgate.
Does Francis Retail ship open box to Columbus, OH?
Yes. Columbus is on our Warp freight lane. We ship open-box sofas, open-box beds, and open-box appliances from our Santa Fe Springs, California warehouse to the Columbus metro at flat-rate freight. The lane covers Columbus proper and nearby areas including Dublin, Westerville, Upper Arlington.
Which OH zip codes qualify for flat-rate open box freight on the Columbus lane?
The Columbus catchment covers residential OH zips within the Columbus metro commuter radius, including Dublin, Westerville, Upper Arlington and surrounding areas. Enter your actual delivery zip at checkout and the system confirms flat-rate eligibility for your open box order. Fringe zips may quote a standard LTL rate instead of flat rate.
How do I track a open box freight shipment headed to Columbus?
Once the pallet leaves our Santa Fe Springs dock, Warp emails a tracking link with PRO number and status updates. You'll see it move from our LA origin to the Columbus delivery terminal. The carrier will also call 24-48 hours before the delivery window to confirm your OH address and scheduling.
Is open box freight insured in transit to Columbus?
Standard Warp LTL coverage protects open box up to a carrier liability limit (typically $0.10/lb for used freight class). For high-value Columbus orders we offer optional declared-value coverage at checkout — it increases the declared value of the shipment with the carrier and funds our recovery if the pallet is damaged or lost. Either way, your remedy for damage on arrival is our damage-resolution process at no cost to you — it doesn't depend on the coverage outcome.
How far in advance should I order open box for Columbus delivery?
Plan on about 2 weeks from order placement to a scheduled delivery window at your Columbus address: 1-2 business days of warehouse handling, 2,230 miles of LTL freight transit (4 business days), plus a carrier-scheduled appointment window. If you need open box by a specific date, call us before ordering.
